99.9% of Theravada is primitive, false

If someone else, someone more respectable had posted this topic and phrased it somewhat differently, it would be one of the most relevant topics.

"100% of theravada is primitive, false"......there, now you can say "I read somewhere on the internet that all buddhism is false."

But back to the topic, I'm really wanting to see what they say is the 0.1% which is not primitive and false. I'm wondering if it is stuff that I agree with or not.

It's about the nature of religion/sprituality: the ecclecticism, the entitlement mentality, the conviction in one's own infallible understanding of How Things Really Are. These are so natural that to straightforwardly discuss them usually gets shot down as "trolling".

Sure. Just don't plant any seeds and don't rely on a harvest.

Which is, ironically, what so much of religion/spirituality comes down to: Expecting it to rain, being patient, but not planting any seeds, because one knows all too well that relying on a rain that might or might not come in time is not good enough. So one plants one's seeds elsewhere, somewhere where one doesn't rely on chance rain.

If is often said: "the first sign of madness is talking to yourself". What about reading your own posts? Is the 2nd sign of madness reading & repeating your own posts, as though your own idea is another person's idea?
