Greetings,
I have attached a diagram to show four possible models for highlighting how one dhamma may be related to the next in the Abhidhammic Dhamma model.

I am curious to know which one you consider most representative of the Theravada presentation of how one dhamma relates to the next.
Commentary on why you chose the poll option you selected is encouraged.

rise, fall without overlap from personal experience.
there can be only one thought according to neuroscience (that's why multitasking is a myth). if u think of car and then bus, then image of car comes and when u want to think of bus the car and bus merge image will not happen where car decrease and bus increase and totally u see bus alone. I see car when I think of car, bus when I think of bus. thoughts associated with car and bus is not same. when I think, the thought arise and pass away. it doesnt exist as such. if it exist for 2 moments as such, then image of car should be there even when im not thinking.
I may be slow learner but im at least learning...
