How to eliminate self-view? Wash the feet of anyone with your tounge?

[It is a bit off...but I don't see Lord Buddha ever bow to someone after Enlightenment./quote]

I think the question here is whether you are bowing down to a person with unwholesome behaviour.
A senior monk may have some unwholesome behaviour but is not unwholesome to declare him as Parajika perhaps.
Even an Arahant might bow down to a senior non-Arahant.

Any example?

Santo sappurisā loke,
devadhammāti vuccare.

Actually, this is what I like to discuss.
For instance, monks suppose to bow down to senior monks.
How does this differ from what this monk suggests?
If a monk is unable to bow, this suggests he still has an ego. Humility isn’t groveling. It all depends on the context, I suppose.

Pope Francis I feel is genuine in washing the feet. That’s an act of humility.

According to the Vinaya rules the Buddha would automatically be the most senior. Hence all who come after would have to do the bowing.

But the Buddha would not be beyond cleaning up the excrements of a sick person.

For example being forced to lick the feet of the potential executioner on pain of death.

You don’t eliminate self view by groveling.
Actually, it's a start.

Or rather not by groveling, per se, but by striving to cultivate humility, which is very commonly practiced in Theravadin monasteries through the washing of the feet of elder monks by their juniors. They just don't do it with their tongues, lol.

The act of washing another's feet is not grovelling without ego and if this is mere rites and rituals.

Come to think of it there is no reason to do this except to learn humility which is an egoistic act. From being superior to being inferior to another.
You've got to start somewhere I suppose.

The practical act of washing another's excrement on the other hand is just an act of kindness if that person is sick.

Tongue is spelled wrong. Also, I hear there are people who like sucking toes and licking feet.
