Nearly Buddhist

Post by Ceisiwr »

So I copied this idea from SuttaCentral. Post quotes that sound close to the Dhamma, but aren't it.

“Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.”

“In a dark place we find ourselves, and a little more knowledge lights our way.”

“Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future.”

“Named must your fear be before banish it you can.”

“Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.”

“You will know (the good from the bad) when you are calm, at peace. Passive."

- Grand Master Yoda

“Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view.”

- Obi-Wan Kenobi.

“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

“Luke, you’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.”

Until he turns on the light saber and kills people with it.

I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan, but come on. Its comic book Orientalism or at most.

It doesn't have to be Star Wars. Could be Stoicism, or Advaita Vedānta

I think you meant, "Ignorance is bliss."
