Buddhābhisekagāthā
Buddhābhisekagāthā
Does anyone know any English translation of this text?
Re: Buddhābhisekagāthā
Buddhābhisekagāthā
Buddha
abhiseka = consecration, ablution
gāthā = verses
“Verses on the consecration of the Buddha”
That’s my rough translation.
“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

See the book "Becoming the Buddha" by Donald Swearer.

Becoming the Buddha discusses the text, but it didn't provide the translation.
