Did Buddha create a new language and a set of words?
What are the new sets of words?
Did he give a new meaning to the existing words?

Maybe yes.
Eg:
From Brahma (Vedic creator), becomes "Brahma" (a classification of heavenly beings) and "divine" as in (Brahmavihara).

I thought Brahamavigara is a pre-Buddhist word.
Don't you have Brahamavihara in Hinduism?
“As the lamp consumes oil, the path realises Nibbana”
Re: Did Buddha create a new language and a set of words?
Certainly not modern Hinduism... The Hindus now focused more on "Bhakti" or "mantra meditation"...
"Om" meditation mantra
Btw, interestingly now I found out that Sri Lanka was once a Saivam country, a nation that worshipped Shiva.

And Sri Lankan King Ravana worshipping Shiva and created a specific mantra hymn only to Him.
Maybe you can ask your local Hindu priests about their "Brahmavihara"?
