Ajahn Anan Akiñcano on Samādhi

Post by Ceisiwr »

I quite enjoyed this Dhamma talk (less a guided meditation and more a talk) on meditation by Ajahn Anan Akiñcano. Thought I would share

“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Verbal fabrication and then body disappears leaving only mental fabrication.
And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter: This is called right speech.

Your thoughts disappear... mind goes silent.
The body disappears from your awareness.
Only feeling and perception remain.
And what is right speech? Abstaining from lying, from divisive speech, from abusive speech, & from idle chatter: This is called right speech.
