Ordination hindrance

Post by Johann »

Coming for the first time in contact with the kind "vipassana-yogi" for decades... asking, why he doesn't make his body proper to his mental development fist, why taking alms from both sociaties, he answered that he was taught by the medi/vipassana movement monks, that he should in no case ordain when he doesn't know and be able to keep Vinaya. => bond to indebt on both legs in such a improper live.

It's really importand to get it, that the Buddha not only wasn't interested to teach non-Bhikkhus on lay people Vinaya, but even disallowed the monks to speak even a little about the livelihood of Bhikkhus before having attained the ordination.

Why? Because some go disencouraged, fearful...

The Buddha and his disciples doesn't want those not gone forth yet to stay on lower level bowing to "gods" but to put all effort, if possible, to sit next to them soon.

Those teaching that there is a danger of being just temporary ordained miss out that every ordaining, incl. that of the Arahats, was a temporary, even if having last till the end of a or the last life.

It's somehow like those attached to their wives, or wives fearing to have no more excuse to to for holly, are somehow happy that woman have a hard to go forth.

That's ill taken by the householder-tradition founder, maintainer, as well as by the yogis, falling for them.

Aren't there enough monks somehow required to work for a pleasing time of hobby-yogis and enough householder believing being worthy Arahats?

When it's told that common world runs exactly opposite the path, it's not something not possible to see if not blind.

Sure, there are those who do travels and flights, have accounts and collect for next retreat, also in robes, mostly well known meditation and vipassana teacher...
