Indeed. This is why i think the law of land is more essential to the issue in hand than the law of kamma.
The law of kamma can be used to evaluate the underlying intention/rationale of the law makers behind the new law. For example, is it to prevent or control prostitution in Bali and other areas, or is it to reduce frequent unplanned pregnancies as a result of casual sex, or is it merely moralizing and dogmatic imposition of religious values/beliefs?
