Are digital Buddhist altars a thing?

Pictures of revered teachers, places, rupas, temples, bhikkhus, shrine rooms etc. that bring inspiration to our members. Pilgrimage advice, devotion etc.

Are digital Buddhist altars a thing?

Post by peppersteak »

I'd like to have a section on my personal website that contains a virtual altar/shrine of sorts. Displaying an image of the Buddha, discussing below how the Dhamma and practicing metta has improved my life and way of thinking, like a tribute to him and his teachings. I've attempted to see if there are existing digital shrines out there, but to no avail. What is the general thought on me possibly hosting a digital shrine? It wouldn't be one for praying, simply a tribute to him.
