I plan to travel to South East Asia in February and hopefully find a place where I can ordain long term. I am 30 years old and have enough money to travel for a year if I need to. Also I have low requirements, using the internet or good kutis would be nice but I am very open minded and could live without this. At the moment I research all monasteries that accept english speaking foreigners:
Thailand:
- Pa Pa Meditation Retreat
https://www.papaemeditation.org/
- iMONASTERY https://imonastery.com/
2 Months Program to become a monk.
- Wat Phu Kongtong
- Wat Pa Ban Tat
- Wat Pah Nanachat (Mahā Nikāya):
- Wat Pah Boom Lorm (Mahā Nikāya):
- Wat Marp Jan (Mahā Nikāya)
probably a lot more.
Myanmar:
Pa-Auk International Centre in Myanmar
However Myanmar has a civil war atm. I don't think you can vist it.
Malaysia
Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary https://sasanarakkha.org/
Looks amazing.
Let's make a list of all monasteries where it is realistic to ordain

I think I will go to Wat Pah Nanachat first.
