Re: What is schism?
Ultimately, there are no schisms, there are only degradations of the original teaching. Which one is the original teaching is not to be argued, but known by the wise.
becoming aware!
Re: What is schism?
We have the triple gem in dhamma teachings, Catholics have the holy trinity.
Buddha, dhamma and sangha(triple gem)
Father, son and holy ghost(holy trinity)
Can we comprehend these as ultimate awareness, formation, and mind.
If so..... sangha is mind.
A schism is a split or division of mind.
Having tasted the ultimate truth of reality a noble is incapable or divisiveness of mind.
Does this seem reasonable?

No, it doesn't. It's more made-up stuff using private definitions. Please desist.thepea wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 2:18 pm We have the triple gem in dhamma teachings, Catholics have the holy trinity.

I’m looking at the teachings and coming to a natural conclusion.
In Buddha dhamma is there not Nibanna as the ultimate truth and the body and mind?
Buddha/dhamma/sangha.
Re: What is schism?
You made up the bit about the Triple Gem being "ultimate awareness, formation, and mind", and you made up the bit about a "noble" being incapable of divisiveness of mind, and you made up a definition of schism.thepea wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 2:48 pm“Made up stuff”? No, you're not, Retro closed your thread on schisms so you used the search facility to continue here. I'll close this one as well if you continue to post made-up rubbish.I’m looking at the teachings and coming to a natural conclusion.
Nothing to do with schisms there. Again, please desist from posting nonsense. In Buddha dhamma is there not Nibanna as the ultimate truth and the body and mind?
Buddha/dhamma/sangha.
