Hmm it's difficuit to say actually after all that! on December the 7th and the 8th the Moon is at 100% Illumination!
Full Moon December the 7 & 8th
Third Quarter Dec 16th
New Moon Dec 23rd
First Quarter Dec 30th
Anyone have any ideas how we can all work this out?

KeepCalm but follow the path (Noble Eightfold Path) with a sense of extreme urgency unless you are at a point where you need to drop that then KeepCalm again. Oh and don't believe everything you read. Don't disbelieve it either. Practice like it is a Science experiment and asses your results regularly and compare notes with your peers...share your results.

If you go by moon phases it depends on your time zone and how you assign it to the day (or night). If the full moon is just after midnight, which day do you assign that to? The conversation in the link indicates that the half-moon days are always the 8th day after new and full moon days.
Here is a calendar from Wat Metta: https://www.watmetta.org/news/Uposatha2022.pdf
December 1 8 16 23* 31*
These are the Uposatha dates for the Dhammayut Order in Thailand. On the dates
marked with an asterisk, the Mahānikāya dates fall one day earlier.
As I said above, if you are doing this on your own, you can use your own method, but if you want to be part of a group, then you need to look it up...

Today (some)one do(es) another ?.
Re: Uposatha Observance Club
Tomorrow. Longest night, clear new moon (usually a sign for new start in Asia), would be a perfect day to gather for refuge, Sila and practice in your near of far monastery, undertaking the last Uposatha-observing in the year 2022.
Far more better then to rush through the streets, or what does your think?

Re: Uposatha Observance Club
Many places holy day. So why not again going after the life of high Brahmas, and spending a blessed first full moon Uposatha today? It's good in very reach that it's the last change for many.

Re: Uposatha Observance Club
Namo Buddhaya,
I just wanted to ask, why do we sometimes refer to the 'last quarter' as the 'third quarter' and not simply 'last quarter' is there a reason?
A Bhante asked me what the names in English are of all the phases of the moon for observance days.. I wasn't sure.
Thank you.
