Anyway, I would like to apologize to everyone here and the Sangha for currently partaking in meat and meat products. My current situation doesn't fit in with a fully vegetarian or vegan diet. For this I am sorry.

Why apologize? Most Buddhists are not vegetarian or vegan. Perhaps around 50% for convert buddhists, but for all buddhists it's maybe around 10% to 20%.

I understand. Recently I have been turning to Buddhism as my only Spiritual Tradition, so Vegetarianism and Veganism are high on my list to Aspire to again, as I want all beings to be free from suffering.

Hmm, well... The Buddha didn't require, recommend or praise vegetarianism, much less veganism. Many Brahmins at his time practiced very meticulous vegetarian dietary observances but were spiritually stagnant and backwards. The Sangha accepts now and did back then whatever is given in their bowl unless an animal is specifically killed for the sangha to eat.

When directly given the option of requiring vegetarianism in the Sangha by Devadatta, the Buddha refused.

It sounds like your "spiritual tradition" is something of your own devising, rather than Buddhism here.

It's not wise to argue against Ahimsa. At least in the Spiritual Experience. :namaste:

I merely pointed out what the Buddha taught. It is false to claim he taught the way of causing harm.

Is your "Spiritual Experience" trademarked? :alien:

Ahimsa is Vegan/Vegeterianism. The cruelty free diet, which Buddha may not have required, but surely taught.

If the clams are ded it is okay.
Still alive then cooked = don't!

When u bought at a restaurant or anywhere, the clams
should be ded, ready to be cooked. Not killed on order.
If in doubt/suspicious, dont eat. Even if it is eaten, there
Is no breach of precepts coz it was not you who killed it.
