Upanisa Sutta - Faith - Five Hindrances - Jhana

I see an interesting correlation between this sutta and the five hindrances; after the contemplation/understanding of the twelve links and specifically suffering, there arises faith and then joy/gladness... the prerequisite for rapture and the entrance to jhana.

The sequence of the hindrances gives doubt as the fifth one to overcome. The abandonment of doubt obviously allows faith to arise and the transcendental sequence has a chance to arise.

It just strikes me that there is a fundamental reason that doubt is given as the last hindrance to be overcome and that faith/confidence is a vital key to opening the door of jhana and higher attachments.
