Carry the burden of the person no longer
Out of the darkness and we all knew that
We went forth the best of us, in death we trust
As the kiss of the reaper whispered through the trees
Tattered rag robe broken to a garment
Rebel forces kneweth victory
Capsized from the Strong side, blood muddied the water
War hammer fodder to seize upon the scriptures
Crossing the chasm that divides
Brethren of the ancient book abiding in one mind
Though the fire blazed and sparks flew wide,
We still bowed our heads to the ground.
Who can forget that Saturday morning:
Sojourn, sun shone through the clouds so trying
Though we all know, sabbath is to rest
We went forth deathless instruments
Dhamma song
