I think there are other monuments even taller than pyramids, however they have not restored.

There are so much to see there. The great thing is that you are going to Anuradhapura.
As you know the Bodhi Tree is the world oldest tree planted by a human and with a written record of the planting.
By the time you cover places like Sigiriya, you will find that you have not enough time to do anything else.
