MN expansion in abhidhamma

Post by Neo »

Which part in abhidhamma explains majjhima nikaya chapters in details?

In other words,

Just like majjhima nikaya is highly regarded as mostly correct and in-depth teachings for insight and meditations, which part of abhidhamma is like that? :reading:

Abhidhamma is not a Commentary on MN, so it does not explain it.

Probably what you are looking for is found in the Vibhanga, the Dhatukatha and the Patthana.

What about abhidhammatha sanghatho ? Not as a commentary but as an overview detailing the process mentioned in MN.

To me, the whole Abhidhamma is a summary of the Satipathana Sutta. MN10
I see the whole Tipitaka in Abhidhamma but tabulated differently.

Rupa: Kayanupassana
Vedana (Cetasika): Vedanaupassana
Citta: Cittanupassana
Cetasika other than Vedana ans Sanna: Dhammanupassana
