• The earliest Buddha-gayā Mahā Bodhi Temple in Myanmar, Founded by King Dhammacetī (1409-1492) in 1477, Mon Kingdom by that time. It’s located in Pegu (Bago), about 50 miles North of Yangon. This site is not very well known to many Myanmar Buddhists. The temple will be an important historical place in the future.
