Bangladesh monks are migrating to Sri Lanka due to pressure from Muslims.

Bangladesh monks are migrating to Sri Lanka due to pressure from Muslims.

Bangladesh Buddhist monk interviewed by a Sri Lankan channel.
This Bangladesh monk is now living in Sri Lanka speaks fluent Sinhalese.
It appears less than 1% of the population are Buddhists.
According to this monk, Muslims are destroying the Buddhist temples.


You can listen to this monk is singing a song about his parents.
It is important to note that monks are not allowed to sing like this.
“As the lamp consumes oil, the path realises Nibbana”

Do you mean about singing?
Perhaps this could be a Bangladesh tradition or he did not know that he is violating the monks' code (Vinaya).
I am not sure whether singing is an act of reprimand for a monk.
Someone with the knowledge of Vinaya can answer this question.

I don't know if it's in Vinaya. But it's certainly a thing that the Buddha would advice against.
