It just means there's enough room left for that.
If Dhamma room becomes bigger other incompatible rooms will automatically become smaller, imo.

start by not worrying about it , "i should stop" is not the way to do it , you will keep watching it even more...
just contemplate on the ugliness/foulness of the human body , you will eventually realize the unconsciousness that dwells in porn and you will transcend it easily.

If one do not want to prolong samsara , Then curtail lust. See ogatarana sutta for further explanation. With pornos we invite irritating our hormones for so called
physical satisfaction. It is important to either totally negate or control asavas (hormones) as described in sabbasava sutta.

Re: How to stop porn addiction?
Hi:
Dont try to stop masturbating. Its better if you set as a rule "masturbating is allowed, just without porn". When one is used to porn usually finds boring just the use of imagination. So you will do it for a while and then you will be able to stop completely masturbating (at least for long periods of time).
Regards

A good first step is to stop looking at it as a specialized addiction that requires unique attention. The whole domain of sensuality is dangerous, and the sooner we come to terms with that, the less time we will spend trying to sort out what is worth trying to eliminate.
Adopting an attitude of restraint - even if we cannot keep to it - is also a good start. Nothing in that direction is worth the risk and the sooner we see it as a whole domain the sooner we will begin to lose interest in tending to it in that specialized way.

Pornography is just too fake. They fake almost everything: the facial expressions, orgasm, physical appearance, stories, the "enjoyment"....and it ends with a "CUT"...
Once you realized it is just a bunch of naked people, taking orders from a mid-aged director in front of them, and a crew of video shooting members preparing the scene, make-up, preparing special effects and controling lighting, and a panel of doctors need to prepare sexual health check-up for these 'actors' in fear of catching STDs....
It is a big turn down.

Observe what sort of emotions (fears, angers, hatreds, e.g.) you experience just before indulging, while indulging, and after indulging. Keep a journal of your observations.

Re: How to stop porn addiction?
Consequently it seems that the doctrine either only focuses on the mental aspect or ignores/negates the physical aspect. There isn't only mental gratification but also physical gratification through following desires in the context of any kind of addiction. But I think that the doctrine is dealing with mentality exclusively and thus preaches that mentality is master of materiality which necessarily supports the sense of self and thus undermines the overcoming of self views.
But putting this doctrinal incoherence in terms of self views aside this doctrinal dominance of mentality which ignores physical gratification necessarily entails that physical gratification must not be apprehended. And this non-apprehension can only be achieved by faith in the unconditioned which excludes faith in the conditioned (like both, mental and physical gratification).

Re: How to stop porn addiction?
Did you try watching porn mindfully (being aware of what you are doing as you are doing it, or noticing your thoughts, emotions, impulses, sensations, self-concepts/feelings of identity)?
If you do that, you will learn from it, get something useful from it, even if you think it is bad. And when you observe your mind and body you will learn the subtleties of why you do what you do and that gives you more freedom of choice.
If you find something you like and can do it mindfully that can be the most fruitful practice because you will do a lot of it.
