Not really, because i wouldn't buy the stuff i download anyway. i would just do without it. I'm sure many others feel the same way.

That's consistent with my views. That being said, I'm going to reconsider file sharing going forward.

Then why does the precept talk about giving? It cannot be irrelevant or the wording would have been different.

It is freely given by the person uploading the file. I think you would say it is not theirs to give tho.
