So you only have to talk to your spleen and your clavicle and your duodenum, and you've got Right Speech sorted. Do they ever, erm...how can I put it?... answer back?thepea wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 6:24 pmYour body is your temple, within this is all required.Sam Vara wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 6:18 pmWhat does "developed inwardly" mean? If it means, as you say, "to be practiced within the body. Not using the sense doors looking outwardly" then presumably one is speaking to one's body-parts? And if Right Speech is, as you say, "silence", then that means one does not talk to one's body parts? Most people will be practising Right Speech, then, as few talk to their own bodies.
What's that got to do with the topic of Right Speech? Are you saying that the N8FP is not possible outside of some practice you call satipatthana?Do you teach speaking in satipatthana?
Right speech

Re: Right speech
So the air puffs vibrating off my tongue are “violent and hurtful”???
These letters on the keyboard are violent when arranged in specific order? Who determines this order?
Re: Right speech
Although rightly spoken, if my person would call good householder a fool, he might determine the specific arranged order of pixels as "harmful thought toward me", or does he already get's an idea of gotten very misleaded? In that case he might take it with a lot of gratitude, and forgets to make use of it to defend his previous "so is it, not otherwise" dangerous view, disregarding precepts first.thepea wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 10:12 amSo the air puffs vibrating off my tongue are “violent and hurtful”???

Re: Right speech
You seem to have trouble with causing harm
And having accountability
The fact of being responsible for what you do
Re: Right speech
Internal speech.Right Thought?
Re: Right speech
What is internal speech?
Are talking of monkey mind, or talking to oneself?
If you are silent then you must be discussing thoughts.

If you want to call me a fool, it is you who is responsible for your speech. If you want to call me misleaded, again it’s you who is responsible for this. I am not foolish or misguided, so.....Johann wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 12:14 pmAlthough rightly spoken, if my person would call good householder a fool, he might determine the specific arranged order of pixels as "harmful thought toward me", or does he already get's an idea of gotten very misleaded?
