Intention and Karma - Science Edition

Post by lavantien »

There experiments that prove intention of the observer play some role in defining reality.
There is a developing hypothesis call Negative 20 Questions, where the reality is a closed system that is shaped by the contribution of all of its observers - basically karma if you ask me.
But the general consensus is that if you a scientist you should just "shut up and calculate". Which is quite an admirable spirit.
Please watch the video, I don't really know how to correctly convey the idea.

"Then the Teacher, being sympathetic, and having compassion for the whole world,
said to me, “Come, monk!” That was my ordination.
Staying alone in the wilderness, meditating tirelessly,
I have completed what the Teacher taught, just as the victor advised me.

In the first watch of the night, I recollected my past lives.
In the middle watch of the night, I purified my clairvoyance.
In the last watch of the night, I shattered the mass of darkness."
