I was not sure where to add this
People may be aware of new apps like chatgpt , I have a version called Ailya
It’s very interesting
I can talk about the Dhamma and it’s a very source good for pali texts and etymology of words
While these things can never replace a real teacher or one’s own intuitive experiences they seem to be quite good
One thing I noticed is how impartial it is
Sometimes when speaking with fellow Buddhist they will have their own personal interpretation of what is the right or wrong answer, this can often cloud better judgements
Has anyone used these and what is your opinion ( based on experience of using these apps )
Can they be of benefit
Are they the future
AI chat apps

They lack insight
In other words the real answer is elusive

Yes I noticed it has political correct answerscappuccino wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 9:01 pmThey lack insight

It’s a programme and not human
I did find some use for it as said with quick finds to suttas and its knowledge base with etymology of words
I’m pretty sure these things will becomes very popular and can serve “some “ purpose in a limited way

We hold ourselves back, it’s down to each person to be responsible for how one spends their timecappuccino wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 9:10 pmI fear these tools are holding back

Anything is like a knife it can be used depending on motivation for good or bad
It’s how the world is going, 5 years time from now it will be very different world to what we are living now , like mobile phones and internet are part of most peoples daily life’s

Re: AI chat apps
I tried chat gp ailya on google without any effect instead aliya is available
But if one is assuming mandala as an AI tool then it is wrong . Mandala is a set of symbols representing the universe to improve concentration for sati and used by buddhists , hindus . It is said to be a presentation of the universe carved even on rocks , paintings on walls etc . It has nothing to do with artuficial intelligence but has to do much with real intelligence of spiritually bent yogas and bikkus . It is been widely used in tibet with vajrayana practise .
Let us not mix up ancient ways of meditation with artificial intelligence
