"tu" in stead of "ti"

Bhante Sujato,
in this paper proclaims, that ti would be the correct ending for anumodāna, yet nowadays tu is prevailing.
Is this a legitimate claim ?

I'm not sure what you mean by a 'correct' form, the verbal form ending with -tu would be the imperative,
-ti the present indicative.

Sabbe devā anumodantu = may all devas rejoice (imperative form of the verb anumodati).

I don't believe this phrase is found in the suttas, but it is very common today.

(I found an instance of the verb 'anumodati' in the suttas, it seems quite rare and used a bit differently:

Aṅguttara Nikāya 5.166
Nirodhasutta

...

Atha kho āyasmato sāriputtassa etadahosi:
Then it occurred to the Venerable Sāriputta,

“yāvatatiyakampi kho me āyasmā udāyī paṭikkosati, na ca me koci bhikkhu anumodati."
Venerable Udāyī has rejected me three times, and not one bhikkhu is satisfied with (appreciates) me.

His point is, that the usage of the imperative for Anumodāna/Aspirations is not according to the ETB. Like on your example: anumodati, viz. the present form, not the imperative.

Yes, that is so.

But it is grammatically correct, and not wrong to say.

both forms of the verb, imperative and present, are grammatically correct.
The imperative form of anumodati does not seem to appear in the suttas.

Ven. Sujāto is not saying the chants used today in temples for 'anumodana' (note there is not a long a), are incorrect,
he is saying the phrases are not found in the Pāli suttas. But that does not make them somehow 'bad' or invalid.
